When you give at the PATRON Level and above, you will receive a designated number of FREE individual tickets to be used at the HCS concerts of your choice within the season.

    This tier includes 10 FREE tickets to any of this season’s performances. You’re truly unique in your generosity and support of our mission!

  • $5,000+

    All ARCHANGEL contributors receive 8 FREE tickets to any of this season’s performances.

  • $2,500+

    All ANGEL contributors receive 6 FREE tickets to any of this season’s performances.

  • $1,000+

    All CHAMPION contributors receive 4 FREE tickets to any of this season’s performances.

  • $500+

    All PATRONs receive 2 FREE tickets to any of this season’s performances!

  • Aldolphus Hailstork

    Set Me On A Rock (Songs of Sanctuary From the Great Flood), 2008

    Hailstork. Hailstork, a respected composer and professor of music at Old Dominion University in Virginia, wrote Set Me On A Rock (Songs of Sanctuary From the Great Flood) which the Choral Society commissioned and performed at the Wortham Center in May of 2008.

  • Ola Gjeilo

    Ave Maria & Alleluia, 2022

    Commissioned by Houston Choral Society to celebrate its 35th anniversary season, Ola Gjeilo’s Ave Maria and Alleluia honor the choir’s legacy with contrasting styles—Ave Maria unfolding in flowing, sustained vocal lines over vibrant piano and strings, and Alleluia bringing a lively 7/8 rhythm that infuses the work with dance-like movement and pop-inspired melodies.

  • Heather Sorensen

    Blessings for This Life, 2023

    Commissioned by Houston Choral Society in memory of its founder, Dr. Betty Devine, Heather Sorenson’s Blessing for this Life is a moving affirmation of her abundant life, opening ethereally with treble voices in a cappella clusters and gradually unfolding with piano, cello, and full choir in graceful melodies and moments of harmonic surprise.

    Untitled, Coming in 2026…

    Commissioned to honor Dr. Kevin Klotz on his 10th anniversary as Artistic Director, Michael John Trotta’s upcoming composition will celebrate Dr. Klotz's ten years of dedication to Houston Choral Society, capturing his artistic vision and commitment to musical excellence.

    Untitled, Coming in 2027…

    Commissioned to celebrate Houston Choral Society’s 40th anniversary season, Dan Forrest’s upcoming composition honors the choir’s enduring legacy with a work that promises to blend depth and artistry in his signature, evocative style.
